^w^ The shark's brain is quite large in relation to the size of its body (although the size of an animal's brain has yet to prove intelligence).  The brain-to-body weight ratio is equivalent to that of birds and animals like us.

^w^ The shark's brain is elongated, not round like a human brain. There is sensory overlap in the shark's brain (pathways of sensory integration) just like in the human brain.  

^w^ Based on their extraordinary sensory systems, sophisticated behavior, and relatively huge brains, it is clear that sharks are more highly evolved than we have been led to believe.
